Can my entry be an unpublished chapter of a previously posted fic?
The contest is anonymous, so entries can not be part of a previously posted story. This might make the story identifiable as yours. Also, it's a one-shot contest. You're welcome to post or continue your story once the contest is finished.
Can the story contain angst?
Some drama is okay, but angst that leaves your average angst-wimp rocking on the floor in the fetal position? Not so much ;)
Do entries need to be beta'd?
Yes. If you'd like help finding a beta, try Project Team Beta or Sparkly Red Pen.
Does the word limit of 15,000 include the summary or author's note?
The 15,000 does not include the summary or author's notes.
Do I have to enter an individual entry if I want to enter a collaboration?
No. Contestants may enter a maximum of two entries - one individual and one collaboration. You may enter either an individual or collab entry, or both if you like.
